Bumping tailwindcss to v4 breaks every Hugo build that runs the CSS pipeline: website/layouts/partials/css.html sends the stylesheet through postCSS, and website/postcss.config.js still passes tailwindcss itself as the PostCSS plugin. In Tailwind v4 that plugin moved to @tailwindcss/postcss, so production/preview builds will fail when processing assets/css/style.css until the new plugin package/config is added or Tailwind stays on v3.

Upgrading the direct alpinejs dependency to v3 leaves the existing Spruce integration behind: @ryangjchandler/spruce is still v2 and the lockfile shows it brings alpinejs ^2.5, while website/assets/js/app.js still registers state with window.Spruce.store(...) and templates read it through Alpine's $store.global. With the page running Alpine v3, that Spruce v2 store is not Alpine v3's native store, so pages that initialize x-data from $store.global lose dark mode, download/version selectors, tabs, and other interactive state.

For preview and production pages, website/assets/js/dd-browser-logs-rum.js still initializes RUM with trackInteractions: true, but the v7 browser-rum SDK expects the renamed trackUserInteractions option. After this major-version bump the old field is ignored, so user action/interaction tracking silently stops even though RUM still initializes.

On preview and production pages, website/assets/js/dd-browser-logs-rum.js only sets forwardErrorsToLogs: true for the browser logs SDK. With the v7 browser-logs upgrade, that no longer captures console.error calls; those now require forwardConsoleLogs to include error, so client-side console errors stop appearing in Datadog Logs after this dependency bump.
