why not just git clone --depth=1? simpler and works :)

.tar.xz with -z? this can't work, and I don't think github serves .tar.xz anyway
also the archive extracts into grcov-master/, so Cargo.toml isn't in ~/grcov
this is why the coverage job is red

We don't need whole git histry. We should have
--depth=1. However, tarball is more lightweight.
