Bad Credentials issue is back with 0.148

vscode 1.124.0 , pull-request-github 0.146 works as expected, 0.148 prompts repeatedly for auth.

windows 11 enterprise, edge is current release.

Interesting to note that disabling this extension did nothing to stop the "please re-auth" spam, so it's simply uninstalled.

Seems like a fix is in the works. I just got a 2FA prompt in Edge for the GH auth, entered that successfully and proceeded to work.

I think the new version is not able to prompt us for the 2FA code.

Disabling worked for me, I had to restart the extensions though.

Very annoying. Soon I'll be in a CLI-only environment. Looks as if VS Code is going into the same ditch as Visual Studio proper many years ago: increasingly bloated with built-in features.

VSCode is unusable rn with this, I had to disable the extension

I think signing out in the Accounts section of vscode (bottom left) helps also. The are more connections to github than just the PR extension. They are all having auth issues it seems.

github-pr extension might be the canary in the coal mine, but not the actual root cause

I've had the issue happen with extension downgraded to 0.146. Might not be due to the extension, Github API is having issues right now.

I explicitly installed 0.146.0. Worked for a short moment. Now pestering me again. It may be related to my using of dev containers. Apparently, I am using 0.146.0 on the host and after opening the workspace in the dev container 0.146.0 within the dev container as well.

I ended up disabling the extension. Now using the terminal, which doesn't require the extension.
