ZFordDev

Hi, I'm ZFordDev — Productivity Developer

🤔 About Me

I have been coding for over two decades, building tools designed to make development more efficient, local-first, and enjoyable. Markdown is my baseline choice for almost everything due to its simplicity and readability.

🎓 Languages

  • Python
  • Rust
  • Go
  • JavaScript / TypeScript

🐣 Projects

A minimalist Markdown editor. Long‑term, stable, and built to last.

The high-performance static documentation platform powering the ZFordDev ecosystem.

  • Documentation Hub
  • Architecture (Wombat Generation): Built on Eleventy (11ty), Markdown-it, Tailwind CSS, and zero-server client-side JS.
  • Features document-level semantic versioning, client-side search (Levenshtein distance matching), automated publication manifests, and metadata-driven category discovery.

The Plus Apps

  • AccountPlus A local-first invoicing and transaction record system for sole traders.

    • This app follows the accounts.
  • SchedPlus A simple Python scheduler app built with multiple UIs.

  • KeyPlus A password manager born entirely out of frustration.

A modern, glass‑rendered desktop system monitor.

  • Documentation
  • Windows-only; taking a back seat to prioritize the Plus range.

A fast, secure, cross-platform clipboard manager.

  • Documentation
  • Explores what happens when an entire app is vibe-coded to production using offline local LLMs.

There are a lot of active projects right now! While SnapDock is my baseline, I’m constantly experimenting to find the next big thing. This means plenty of R&D, I don't really choose the projects, they choose themselves. Some will graduate; others will get archived.

🗺️ Roadmap

  • UniSQ Degree: Bachelor of Information Technology (Double Majors: Software Application Development & Networking/Cyber Security)
  • FreeCodeCamp Certifications:
    • JavaScript Certification
    • Python Certification
    • Responsive Web Design Certification
    • Front-End Development Libraries Certification
    • Back-End Development and APIs Certification
    • Relational Databases Certification
    • Certified Full-Stack Developer Curriculum
  • Architecture & Ops: Target deeper architecture patterns in Rust and Go, followed by cloud infrastructure and DevOps specializations.

🤜🤛 Collaboration

I welcome collaboration on any of my active projects. Feel free to contribute or open an issue if you'd like to help out!

💼 Contract Status: Open to contracts!
