Overview
Bumps the dev dependency pytest from 7.4.4 to 8.3.5 via Poetry.

pyproject.toml widens the constraint from ^7.0 to >=7,<9 so Poetry can resolve pytest 8.x. poetry.lock is refreshed accordingly (pytest now requires Python ≥3.8, which matches the project’s existing >=3.8 floor).

No application or test source files change—only the test runner toolchain used in development/CI.
