Thanks for submitting a PR! Please check the boxes below:

  • I have read the Contributing Guide.
  • I have added information to docs/ if required so people know about the feature. (Not required: internal dashboard widget.)
  • I have filled in the "Changes" section below.
  • I have filled in the "How did you test this code" section below.

Changes

Support chat in the dashboard is moving from Pylon to HubSpot. This puts HubSpot chat behind a new hubspot_chat flag so the switch can be scheduled, and stops chat links from silently doing nothing when there's no chat to open.

  • With hubspot_chat on, the dashboard shows the HubSpot chat widget instead of Pylon. The flag value sets who gets it: all means every plan, while an empty or any other value means paid plans only.
  • Pylon never shows while hubspot_chat is on. With hubspot_chat off, pylon_chat behaves exactly as today.
  • The HubSpot widget no longer loads on its own from HubSpot chatflow targeting. The dashboard loads it when the flag allows it, and removes it on logout or when switching to an organisation that shouldn't have it.
  • Chat links ("let us know" on Getting Started, "contact us" at the seat limit) now open an email to support when there's no chat, instead of doing nothing. For free-plan organisations this is a behaviour change.

hubspot_chat already exists in Flagsmith's own project and is off in Production, so merging changes nothing for customers until the flag is turned on.

Review effort: 2/5

How did you test this code?

  • Unit tests for choosing the provider, opening chat, and showing/hiding the widget (common/__tests__/loadChat.test.ts).
  • Locally: CI=true lint on changed lines, the full unit test suite and the production build pass.
  • Manual check against staging (ENV=staging npm run dev, hubspot_chat on in the Staging environment): a paid org sees HubSpot and not Pylon; a free org sees no widget and the links open email; switching org or logging out removes the widget; turning hubspot_chat off brings Pylon back; the value all shows it to a free org.

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

Support chat is moving from Pylon to HubSpot. The new hubspot_chat flag
switches the dashboard chat widget to HubSpot, and its value sets who gets
it: "all" opens it to every plan, anything else keeps it to paid plans.
Pylon never shows while HubSpot is on, and chat links fall back to email
when no chat is available instead of doing nothing.
