Reditus Technology Corporation (RTC) is a recently-established megacorporation with a focus on inventing new technology and innovating new technological advancements for the betterment of humanity. Their products are designed for general use amongst the population, whether they be Union or not.
While smaller than the other, more established manufacturers, RTC prides itself on quality and ensuring the widespread adoption of its advancements in technology. To achieve this, RTC has aggressively pushed for adoption of its recent developments among regional system governments, mainly within the Diaspora, where high quality equipment at affordable prices is needed the most.
RTC saw a lack of development in equipment for use by the general public, especially those within militias and security forces lacking in mechanized personnel. As a result, RTC decided to fill that gap to become the primary manufacturer of firearms, cyberware and armor for infantry-based personnel and private citizens. Due to this, RTC does not focus on creating mechs of their own like other major manufacturing and technology companies. Rather, the company places their focus on developing systems and weapons compatible with most existing mechanized chassis, as well as developing and selling a plethora of gear, weaponry, armor and more for the general public.
To fund themselves, RTC focuses on creating favorable contracts within Diasporan systems to raise funds. The company often achieves this by promising specific regional system governments shipments of experimental technology and prototypes to use within their fielded militaries as well as for personal use. These deals are often made far before said products are sold commercially to the general public. This allows for RTC to gather field data to improve designs or scrap ideas that don't make it past the prototype stage.
RTC is continually expanding at a rapid pace, with an aim to make the galaxy nearly reliant on their developments.
The project in the current state is a Prototype, meaning it is actively being developed and fine-tuned based on feedback we get. Whenever a minor bug fix version is released, it will be released here so as to not flood the main project page. Whenever a major or minor version is released, it will be released both here and on the main project page over on Itch.io.
