Automatically release lnav to Winget

Now that lnav mostly works on Windows, and is present in Winget, could we get an automatic update of the Winget version on every release?

It should be possible to add releases to winget via GitHub actions, perhaps using https://github.com/vedantmgoyal9/winget-releaser. I don't peronally have much experience with github actions, but will help where I can.

I hear you. I've been fixing various bugs and was waiting for a certificate from signpath.io to sign the binary. I think all those things are squared away, so v0.13.1 should be out soon and I'll try to wire this up.

Ran the action with v0.13.2 and it didn't seem to fail...

no, on the contrary, it worked beautifully and lnav is now published to Winget! Could probably set the action to automatic on full releases now, and on pre-releases whenever Komac (and winget releaser) gets around to releasing the fix

Ahh, didn't realize that keybinding had changed. Maybe I'll patch the Swedish keymap. Unfortunately a lot of the keys are multi-key combos on a Swedish keyboard (such as ctrl-], backtick and maybe some others)

Ah, thanks for letting me know. In the conversion from ncurses to notcurses, I messed this up. I pushed a fix for it now.

Did anyone test the Winget package? lnav doesn't currently work on Winget due to missing ArchiveBinariesDependOnPath (depends on msys-2.0.dll). I have created a PR to fix this:

Yes, I did test it, as I remember it even in the Windows sandbox which should be a rather clean environment. Not sure if anything in Winget has changed during the meantime, can't remember anything about ArchiveBinariesDependOnPath, nice catch

Winget adds command-line binaries to the PATH in one of two ways:

1. Symlinking to WinGet\Links.
   • Requires Admin privileges or Developer Mode. This works well for static apps, but can cause issues for those with DLL dependencies.
2. Adding the package folder to PATH.
   • Fallback if symlink permissions are missing.

Perhaps the latter was the case for yours. ArchiveBinariesDependOnPath forces the second option.
