it would be super cool to have the option to run musializer natively under wayland...
What do you think?

It works fine via XWayland. Just make sure your DISPLAY environmental variable is set correctly. I had got the following error "GLFW: Error: 65550 Description: X11: Failed to open display wayland-0" and I fixed it by env DISPLAY=:0 ./musializer.

It is possible to build it on wayland now by modifying the raylib build, as it is supported, however it is not the default

i am able to build it on wayland without any configuration. if it helps i am on kde with wayland and have nvidia gtx 1050 on arch

Are you sure it's running natively and NOT via Xwayland?
