"dayFormat” is not working correctly with Arabic weekdays.
We need to abbreviate the weekdays the same way Facebook does, as shown in the attached picture.

In Syncfusion Flutter Date Range Picker widget, only common words such as Today, Cancel, OK etc. only are localized using SfLocalizations. However, date-related abbreviations such as day, month, week names used in the SfDateRangePicker widget are derived from the Intl package, which uses CLDR (Unicode Common Locale Data Repository) for locale data. These values are not part of Syncfusion’s internal localization strings, so direct customization within the widget is not possible.

The mismatch you observed is related to CLDR locale data. Unicode has confirmed that the fix for such issues will be included in CLDR version 49, which will update the standardized locale data used by the Intl package.

Additionally, you can register a new locale to the Intl package using this initializeDateFormattingCustom method by declaring DateSymbols and dateTimePatternMap function. We’ve prepared a sample by registering a new locale. You can use the attached sample below and modify it to change any month or weekday names based on your needs.
