Expected Behavior

SEP-414 Support, i.e. filling the _meta field with OpenTelemetry trace context.

Current Behavior

Not implemented, fully missing. No tracing support when doing MCP calls.

Context

Tracing on MCP tools does not work. Unsure if this has never been implemented deliberately, or not.

Thanks for opening this issue.

SEP-414 is mostly about documenting that OTel names are reserved for _meta ; it does not mandate any explicit implementation (see for example Go SDK's handling of this, or Typescript SDK only adding constants with the reserved names.
