Version 4.5 Storage .md Files

I have been watching massCode for a while, but not pulled the trigger. With 4.5 I decided to pull the trigger (portable version). I started playing with it then looked at preferences and was surprised the default was SQLite not the new markdown. Then I figured as this was the first release it was the first step. Then i saw a button that said Migrate Markdown to SQLite. This surprised me as I figured it would be the other way around and have a migration from SQLite to Markdown. This made it look like Markdown an old format not a new format.

Will we see some adjustments in that area?

Thanks, that’s fair feedback.
It’s not just your perception: the current UI can indeed make Markdown Vault look like an older/secondary format, especially with SQLite still being the default and the visible “Migrate Markdown to SQLite” action.

The intention is different: Markdown Vault is the new recommended storage format, while SQLite is still available for compatibility and rollback. I’ll adjust the wording in the UI to make that clearer.

Not that it affects me, but will you be adding a SQLite to Markdown converter?
