Whatsapp calling API support

Hi ,
I have deployed a self-hosted LiveKit Server (v1.9.12) on my server and most of the APIs are working correctly. For example, the Room API works with the following request:

curl -X POST http://localhost:7880/twirp/livekit.RoomService/ListRooms
-H "Content-Type: application/json" -d '{}'

The response I receive is:

{"code":"unauthenticated","msg":"permissions denied"}

This indicates that the endpoint exists and is reachable, but authentication is required.

However, when I try to call the WhatsApp Connector API from my webhook using the livekit-api, I get a 404 error.

Error from logs:
2026-03-07 07:31:21,747 - ERROR - Failed to process call: 404, message='Attempt to decode JSON with unexpected mimetype: text/plain; charset=utf-8', url='https://xxxx.com/twirp/livekit.Connector/AcceptWhatsAppCall

My questions are:

Is the WhatsApp Connector API available for self-hosted LiveKit, or is it only available on LiveKit Cloud?

Do I need to enable any configuration in config.yaml to enable ConnectorService?

Are there any additional plugins or special builds required to enable WhatsApp connectors on a self-hosted LiveKit server?
