Changelog

All notable changes to the InstallFinder module will be documented in this file.

The format is based on Keep a Changelog, and this project adheres to Semantic Versioning.

[0.5.5] - 2025-10-26

Changed

  • Refactored moving device pinging to the process block
  • Attempt to correct username assignment based on HKU results. Not really working yet.

Fixed

  • Query on remote devices was failing due to a stupid syntax error missing a pipe.
  • Query on local device was returning duplicate results due to an extra PassThru on Add-Member.
  • Live update for ReportTemplate count cards

  • ConvertTo-UserName and ConvertTo-UserSid private functions
  • Get-WindowsInstallerCache private function

Changed

  • Added a PSComputerName property to the locally-run Invoke-Command when retrieving registry keys so the property can be used in both local and remote cases without further logic

Fixed

  • Find-InstalledApplication was trying to pass the $ComputerName array to Get-WindowsInstallerCache which takes [string], resulting in an exception
