Deployment Scripts

The deployment process uses several main files:

  1. Pool Shell Script (scripts/deploy_pool.sh):

    • Handles environment setup
    • Manages network selection
    • Executes the Solidity deployment script
    • Handles contract verification

  2. Pool Solidity Script (contracts/script/Pool.s.sol):

    • Deploys the Pool contract
    • Deploys Mock USDC on test networks
    • Sets up initial pool configuration
    • Handles network-specific token addresses

  3. Droplet Shell Script (scripts/deploy_droplet.sh):

    • Dedicated script for Droplet token deployment
    • Handles mainnet deployment with safety checks
    • Manages environment setup and verification
    • Provides clear deployment status output

  4. Droplet Solidity Script (contracts/script/Droplet.s.sol):

    • Deploys the Droplet token contract
    • Mints initial supply to deployer
    • Configures token parameters
    • Handles verification setup

Droplet Deployment Process

The Droplet token deployment follows a specific process designed for secure mainnet deployment:

  1. Pre-deployment Setup:

    • Environment variables loaded from contracts/.env
    • Git repository initialized if needed
    • Foundry dependencies checked and installed
    • Network configuration validated

  2. Safety Measures:

    • Explicit mainnet deployment confirmation required
    • Keystore alias verification
    • Environment variable validation
    • Clear deployment parameter display

  3. Deployment Steps:

    1. Initial setup transaction (34,735 gas)
2. Deploy Droplet contract (978,080 gas)
3. Mint initial supply to deployer

  4. Verification Process:

    • Automatic verification on Basescan
    • Contract source code published
    • Constructor arguments verified
    • Deployment artifacts saved

  5. Deployment Artifacts:

    • Transactions: contracts/broadcast/Droplet.s.sol/8453/run-latest.json
