Describe the bug
Using the following function
https://developers.arcgis.com/python/latest/api-reference/arcgis.features.toc.html#arcgis.features.GeoAccessor.to_featurelayer

dataframe.spatial.to_featurelayer('layername', gis=gis, folder='foldername', sanitize_columns=True)

produces this error.

So we can reproduce the issue, we need more information:

1. Can you post sample data of what's in the sedf?
2. what OS are you using?
3. Post a conda list dump as well so we can recreate your environment. See: https://docs.conda.io/projects/conda/en/latest/commands/list.html

Hi, thank you for your answer.

Unfortunately, our data is classified and I can't under no circumstances provide samples of it.
OS: Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS
Conda isn't installed. It's a Docker container.

My admin made a
sed -i 's/fieldType/field_type/g' /opt/venv/lib/python3.13/site-packages/arcgis/features/geo/_io/fileops.py
and that fixed the error.

We got the package from
https://pypi.org/project/arcgis/

Perhaps this is the source of our problem.

@Hatsushira it seems to be a pyshp, can you get me the exact version of pyshp you are using from your admins?

Until we have a patch, please do the following when creating your docker:

pip install arcgis==2.4.2 pyshp<3

Thank you for this information. I would need until Monday for getting this information if you still need it?
But it should be the same version which is in the package I linked to. We don't do any special builds. Just use pip to download the package with all the requirements. It's just that.
